Certified External Sources
Queria integrates specialized and certified databases that enrich AI answers with verified and constantly updated information.
What they are
Certified external sources are professional databases integrated into the platform. When your question requires information beyond company documents, the Cog-RAG system automatically queries the relevant sources, returning verified and traceable data.
Available categories
Legal sources
Italian and European legislation: laws, legislative decrees, decree laws, codes, regulations and EU directives. Ideal for compliance checks, regulatory analysis and legal research.
Food sources
Food product database with complete nutritional information, quality scores (Nutri-Score, NOVA, Eco-Score), allergens and product categories. Useful for food & beverage companies.
Chemical sources
Chemical substances, safety data sheets (SDS), CLP classification and REACH regulation. Includes hazard codes, EC and CAS numbers, restrictions and authorizations.
Pharmaceutical sources
Pharmaceutical data, clinical trials, adverse events, drug labels, interactions, scientific publications and medical devices. Covers the full cycle from research to pharmacovigilance.
How they work
The Cog-RAG architecture handles external sources transparently:
- Automatic analysis: the Planner analyzes your question and determines which sources are relevant
- Parallel search: relevant sources are queried simultaneously to company documents
- Result integration: external data is combined with internal documents
- Answer generation: the Writer composes a unified answer with traceable citations
You don't need to do anything special: the system automatically recognizes when certified data is needed.
Color badges in the answers
Every citation in the answer shows a colored badge identifying the origin:
| Badge | Color | Origin |
|---|---|---|
| Document | Blue | Uploaded company documents |
| Knowledge Base | Green | Curated knowledge base |
| Legal Source | Amber | Certified legislative sources |
| Food Source | Orange | Certified food sources |
| Chem Source | Teal | Certified chemical sources |
| Pharma Source | Purple | Certified pharmaceutical sources |
| Web Page | Gray | Indexed web pages |
This visual coding lets you immediately understand where each piece of information comes from.
Per-company activation
External sources are configured at company level by the administrator:
- Go to Company Settings
- In the External Sources section, enable or disable each category
- Changes take effect immediately for all users in the company
Each company can enable only the sources relevant to its industry.
Forcing the search via filters
If you want to ensure the answer includes data from a specific external source:
- Open the filter panel in the chat
- In the External Sources section, select the desired categories
- The system will prioritize the selected sources in the search
This is especially useful when you need specific regulatory or technical data.
Benefits
- Certified data: information from official and verified sources
- Continuous updates: databases are constantly kept up to date
- Professional curation: content organized and structured by domain experts
- Full traceability: every piece of information links back to the original source
- Transparent integration: no configuration required from the end user
- Smart caching: search results cached for fast answers
TIP
When asking questions that require technical or regulatory data, be specific. E.g., instead of "tell me about food safety", ask "what are the nutritional values and Nutri-Score of organic cereal products?".
